He will raffle them off among everyone who donates $24 or more towards the Safe Skies fundraiser, launched by his friend and colleague, Yale Professor Timothy Snyder. Its goal is to raise funds for a sensor system that can detect airborne targets, including missiles and drones, for neutralization. Safe Skies is designed to help protect Ukraine’s territory and people from incoming threats.
The first goal, $950,000 for 2500 sensors, has been already achieved. They will help secure Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. The next goal is another 2500 sensors to protect Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Cherkasy oblasts.
